Linear telephone-entry systems — the AE series and similar panels you'll find at building doors and vehicle gates across North America — dial a stored phone number for each unit. That makes them a natural fit for Enterkey: your directory entry points at your Enterkey number, and the panel never knows the difference.
Which Linear setups work?
If the Linear panel at your entrance calls a phone when visitors press your unit code, it's compatible — that covers most Linear telephone-entry installations, including gate pedestals. Systems configured purely for in-unit handsets without an outside line are the exception.
How do you tell if yours is compatible?
The test is simple: when a visitor buzzes your unit, does your cell phone (or a phone number you chose) ring? If yes, your system dials out — and Enterkey works by giving it a smarter number to dial. If your buzzer only rings a wired handset inside your unit and can't call an outside line, it isn't compatible.
